JOSE LUIS JACOB PHOTOGRAPHY

My name is Jose Rodriguez.  Born and raised on Staten Island New York, grew up as the youngest child of 3 ( 1 brother and 1 sister) I was not one that would ever be taken seriously.  My father at most family events would have a video camera recording every moment of every family event we would come across.  Watching my father have this passion helped me grow my interest in photography.  At first, I started with the 24 picture cameras you would by at your local CVS and from there that is where the passion, the dream has started.

I never thought that I would love taking photos so much until I started to mix the hobby with my career as an educator.  As a counselor at a College for kids program, my hobby just taking photos became a side hustle.  I was taking photos, creating photo-booths, and creating slideshows for the schools to see the work.  I built my passions together and still do both fields of work.  Doing what I love always feels great when I am working because it doesn't only feel like work, but its fun and rewarding.  Do what you love!  Follow your passion!
